BECOME A SWEAT TEST CENTRE
Offer sweat testing powered by the world’s most accurate sweat sensor, independently validated against laboratory reference methods. In the latest peer reviewed paper, the FLOWBIO Sensor was benchmarked against flame photometry for sweat sodium and a scale based method for whole body sweat loss, in both hot dry and hot humid conditions.
Using the FLOWBIO System, you give your athletes data from a science first product, delivered through a service your business can run consistently. It is a cost effective way to bring lab grade methods into day to day testing, without the friction of lab only workflows.
What this unlocks:
• Sweat loss and sodium loss data athletes can trust and use
• A premium testing service that fits cycling, running, and triathlon
• A clearer performance conversation, backed by evidence, not assumptions
• A scalable sweat testing service, without the friction of lab only workflows.

Become a Stockist
Join the likes of The Feed, Sigma Sports, Healf, and Aid Station.
Stock the FLOWBIO Sensor and give customers a product that fits the way endurance athletes shop. They want a simple answer to a personal problem, and they want a recommendation they can trust. FLOWBIO gives you a clear retail story, sweat loss and sodium loss, measured in training, turned into actionable recommendations in the app.
Why it works in retail:
• A premium product with a clear point of difference, online and in store
• Easy for staff to explain and easy for customers to understand
• Strong fit for running, cycling, and triathlon audiences
• One time purchase, no subscriptions
• Works with Garmin, Zwift, Wahoo, and Coros, plus iOS and Android
BECOME AN AMBASSADOR
Bring sweat data into your training, and make it useful for the athletes who follow you. You share your real sessions, what you lost, what you changed, and how that affected performance, recovery, and consistency. It is athlete led education, backed by your own numbers.
What we look for:
• Credibility in endurance sport, and consistency in training
• Clear communication that stays practical and grounded
• Willingness to share the full learning curve, including what changed once you saw your sweat data
• A real point of view on hydration pain points, cramps, disrupted sleep, heavy legs, or poor heat sessions
What you get:
• Commission on each sale
• Part of the FLOWBIO beta testing community, receive access to the latest features
• Early access to personalised hydration tools and partner drops
• A science first product you can build a story around, based on your own sweat profile
our story.

2020
The journey began.
Our founder, Stefan van der Fluit had a vision for the bio-informatics future: the ability to use wearable devices to get a real-time picture of what is going on inside our bodies. Using expertise in developing wearables and an extensive knowledge as an athlete, FLOWBIO was born.

2020
The Prototype
We started developing our first prototype in September 2020. The key technical objectives of this prototypewere to demonstrate the sweat capture system, sweat rate measurement and accuracy of our ion-selective electrode. We conducted our first body test 3 months after development began.

2022
The Flowpatch
In 2021, we launched the Flowpatch. Our first step in real-time sweat analysis. It paired a reusable shell with a disposable sensor patch, limited to around 10 hours of capture time. As the first sweat wearable approved by the UCI, it opened the door for potential use in the Tour. Early trials with endurance athletes gave us the insights that paved the way for the S1.

2023
The S1
The S1 marked a major breakthrough as the first fully reusable sweat sensor on the market, hand built in our Bermondsey lab in London. Designed with skin temperature and ambient sensors and unlimited capture time, it was ready to be used by endurance athletes around the world and played a central role in our independent validation study.

2025
The FLOWBIO Sensior
In 2025 we launched the FLOWBIO Sensor, the evolution of our early prototypes. It was used in our latest validation study with CEPS Montpellier and quickly began being adopted by WorldTour cycling teams, the who's who of the triathlon world, and endurance athletes across the globe. Still early in its journey, the Sensor is already helping athletes personalise their hydration and achieve their goals.
Frequently Asked Questions
HOW ACCURATE IS THE SENSOR?
Our latest data has indicated that we are 90% accurate in lab based conditions. In the field we achieve accuracies up to 83% for our sodium with as little as 180mg difference (that is 6x less than a pinch of salt). Our fluid loss is 73% accurate with as little as 250mL difference to in-field gold standards.
We also independently validate our sensor which showed that we are no different to the in-field gold standard for sodium (L'AquaTwin) and not significantly different to the gold standard for fluid loss. We tested this in hot and dry and hot and humid conditions for indoor cycling. You can find the validation study here.
The independent validation study was conducted by an international team of sport science researchers led by David Bandiera, with co-authors Jean de Bardonnèche, Delphine Margout-Jantac, Léa Dubois, Nisrine El Allaoui, Jonathan Steven Elie Rubio, Jean-Christophe Aubin, Sébastien Racinais, Antonio Tessitore, and corresponding author Yannis Pitsiladis. The research was carried out through the University of Rome Foro Italico and the CREPS Montpellier, alongside collaborating academic institutions, with support from Human Telemetrics.
HOW DOES THE SENSOR WORK?
The Sensor captures your sweat and analysis its contents. Proprietary algorithms use the sensor data to estimate your sweat rate and sodium loss. The data is shown on the FLOWBIO App, offering recovery and preparation suggestions and tips to optimise your performance.
WHAT DOES THE SENSOR MEASURE?
The Sensor measures your sweat rate and sodium loss, helping you optimise your recovery and prepare for training and events by ensuring you replace and bring the necessary fluid and electrolytes.
HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST?
The battery life is 100+ hours and the device can be charged using a USB-C cable.
DOES THE SENSOR USE A NEEDLE LIKE THE SUPERSAPIENS?
No, the Sensor does not have a needle. We collect sweat through a tiny channel using the pressure exerted by your sweat glands.
