Hydration is one of the few performance levers that can fall apart without you noticing, until it costs you. Miss your fluid needs and you can drift off pace, cramp late, and struggle to recover properly. Get sodium wrong and the knock on effects can show up in the second half of the race, and later that night. Sweat losses are personal, and they change with effort and environment.
That is why we are proud to welcome Ellie Salthouse as the first member of the FLOWBIO Performance Team for 2026.
Meet Ellie
Ellie is one of the most consistent athletes on the IRONMAN 70.3 & T100 circuit.
Her recent results underline that consistency.
-
2024 wins at IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong, IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder, and IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne.
-
A 2025 win at IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast.
-
More than 25 middle distance titles across her career to date.
Why this partnership makes sense
We started working with Ellie last season after she reached out with questions about her hydration. Her race calendar moves across climates, courses, and travel demands, and that matters because sweat rate and sweat sodium concentration can vary widely, between athletes, and within the same athlete across conditions.
Our partnerships focus on helping athletes understand the world of sweat, so they can stop guessing and start planning.
Ellie said, “I’m so stoked to be working with a team who are committed to excellence and who produce a product that I genuinely use and believe in”.
Where FLOWBIO fits in Ellie’s performance programme
FLOWBIO is one part of Ellie’s wider performance programme. Used consistently, it helps her build a hydration strategy that matches the demands of each session and race, not a generic plan.
